Marisa Walsh is an up-and-coming event designer in the special event community on the National level.
Originally from Martha’s Vineyard Massachusetts, Marisa used her Bachelors Degree in Media & Film Production from Villanova University and seasonal catering experience to pursue a career in Event Production. Learning how to excel in high-pressured environments while working at MTV News and Mark Burnett Productions (NY & LA), she helped clients relax as she delegated and managed crisis fluidly behind the scenes.
When her late father, Thomas A. Walsh, was diagnosed with ALS in 2008, she jumped to the challenge of co-hosting three fundraisers for Compassionate Care ALS, supporting families affected by the diagnosis. These events raised over $150,000 and led Marisa to accept a professional internship with David Monn, LLC in New York City receiving expert training in all facets of luxury event design and production.
Working on events at The New York Public Library, Seagrams Plaza, Museum of Natural History, Rubin Museum of Art, The New York Jets Stadium, and for such high-profile clients as: Mayor Bloomberg, President Clinton, Muriel Brandolini, Padma Lakshmi, and Celebrity Chef Chris Nirschel, amongst other celebrity weddings, birthday bashes, and batmitzvahs, Marisa is up for any task. Her favorite events are those that recycle occasions but never an idea; drawing from unique perspectives Marisa seeks to apply perfect execution to each occasion.
Driven by her passion for novelty, design as expression, and innovation, Marisa is currently freelancing as an event producer to continue learning from event experts while she develops her own company.
